Sunday/Monday Posts - January 26th and 27th

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

If you'd like to participate with The Sunday Salon, it is now a Facebook group.

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is a meme hosted by Sheila at Book Journey. This is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between! This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

Happy Sunday and Monday Everyone!

I don't know about the rest of you, but our weather is really weird.  We go from freezing weather to not so freezing weather.  To alot of snow to not alot of snow.  I find that it makes me want to read more.  So, maybe that's not a bad thing :)

I did pretty well with my reading this week.  I finished three books, which is great for me.  I don't know how long this will last but I'll enjoy it while I can.  For now, I'm reading alot.

The beginning of February looks to be exciting for me.  Thanks to Berkley/Obsidian, I will be hosting quite a few spotlights and reviews of their cozy mysteries.  Which means, there will be quite a few paperback book giveaways on my blog for the first couple of weeks of February.  Yay!  This is really exciting because there are so many wonderful cozies coming out in the coming months.  So, keep stopping by my blog for the giveaways.

I hope you all have a great week and read many great books!

Yvonne

I don't have my February books ready yet. I have to go through them and see what's next on my list. At least I'm almost finished with January and right on schedule!

What was your week like? What are you reading this week?

  4. I think the weather is weird just about everywhere. My in-laws live in Florida and said it was 50 for the high the other day, and were freaking out about it. Ha. we haven't seen 50 in forever where I live. Or high is 25 today. lol Enjoy your week. :)

  5. This winter can't end soon enough for me. The thought of 50 degrees warms the heart, but here in NY it's a long way off.

I got a copy of Lending a Paw this week from my library and am looking forward to reading it. I love to start a new series.

  6. I agree that the weather is weird everywhere. I'm ready for Spring, but then I love flowers, so I guess what I'm really saying is I'm ready for Spring Color. :) Enjoy your books.

  7. I don't know why, but my reading was not very productive this week, but one of the two books I finished had 532 pages and had a lot of twists and turns, and not in a rapid-reading way. I'm glad it's behind me.

Glad you had a good week. Enjoy the new one. I'm curious about The Billionaire Banker.

  9. The weather's been up-and-down here, too. It snowed Tuesday (finally!) and it's been well below freezing ever since -- too cold for salt on the roads to do much good, so the back roads are still icy. I've been enjoying watching all the birds come to the feeder, though!

I'm looking forward to your Berkley/Obsidian cozy reviews. You're right, there are some delightful cozies coming up!

  14. We've been getting a ton of snow, in fact they just called off school for tomorrow (again) here a little bit ago. They're calling for negative wind chills the next few days. Hope your area is warmer. This is good weather to sit and read a good mystery!
